Northern Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati is a beautiful part of the country to get married. Rolling hills, beautiful meadows, historic houses, and gorgeous overlooks will make up the options you have when considering wedding venues in Northern Kentucky. I am a Cincinnati-based wedding photographer and I love getting the chance to photograph weddings in Kentucky (I also go as far south as Lexington, Kentucky for no extra travel fee!)
When looking for Northern Kentucky Wedding Venues, you’ll be met with quite a few options in Cincinnati. Which if you’re open to Ohio, there are so many wonderful venues there! However, I totally understand wanting to stay in Kentucky if you’re from there! So, here are some wedding venues to consider in Northern Kentucky that I have personally photographed weddings at before!
These wedding venues are in no particular order. 🙂
Devou Park is a great option for a Northern Kentucky Wedding Venue. It’s right off the Ohio River and you can see Cincinnati from right across the way! The pavilion has a full reception area, outdoor ceremony area, and plenty of beautiful photo locations. There are lush green trees everywhere, a beautiful overlook, and the venue itself has so many beautiful windows.
I also love the outdoor patio area – there is just so much space for your guests. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests! Inside, you’ll find a large dance space as well!
Note – the photos from this wedding were taken in 2021. My style has quite evolved since then!

Summit Hills is Northern Kentucky Wedding Venue that is situated on a golf course and has plenty of lovely areas! My favorite part about this venue is the winding long road up the main building. It is such a great spot for photos. There are lots of trees and beautiful areas for photographs. The indoor space is lovely with a grand ballroom with lots of room for guests and also lots of windows (remember – windows are great because they let in gorgeous natural light!)
This venue is also incredibly accommodating. They allowed the bride and groom to take the golf cart out around for photos and had a series of golf carts available for guests to use. I just loved all of the small touches the venue had for this couple’s special day, which happened to be the fourth of July weekend!

This Northern Kentucky Wedding Venue certainly feels like something right out of the south – lots of country and elegant charm. It’s right off the water (Ohio River to be exact) with incredible views in their ceremony location. The houses on property are historic and make for excellent getting ready areas (and even allow you to stay on property for you and 20 guests!) which is pretty neat.
The ceremony spot in particular is one of my favorites. There are so many beautiful trees, a gorgeous lawn, and an alter perfect for you and your significant other to exchange wedding vows. I love all the tree cover here because it lets in so much beautiful filtered light (meaning you won’t be in broad daylight!) The venue allows you have the entire grounds and the reception area is a grand tented area perfect for large celebrations.
Note, the photos below were taken in 2021, and once again, my style has quite evolved since then!

This Northern Kentucky Wedding Venue is such a fun one. It’s exactly what it sounds like – a distillery! What a way to celebrate living in Kentucky. The space itself is great for hosting a beautiful ceremony and reception and has lots of photo areas as well.
They allow you to have access to the entire venue for the day, and one of my favorite locations is the barrel room – talk about a cool photo location! They also have a full onsite bar, which of course is a great vibe to add to your wedding in Northern Kentucky.
I also love the ceremony location – it’s very light and bright and allows for great photographs! The venue itself was accommodating and friendly and I highly recommend.
Check out my blog post on this venue. See their event info page here.
So if bourbon isn’t your thing, but wine is, then I recommend checking out Brianza Gardens and Winery. Such a beautiful space for weddings. Brianza can accommodate smaller weddings (but can also do weddings as large as 150) and their beautiful gardens are so dreamy. I love the idea of getting married at a vineyard! So, speaking of vineyards, there are amazing views of the vineyard from the garden area.
I haven’t photographed a wedding here, but they were kind to allow us to photograph this couple’s engagement session. They were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with!
Here is my previous blog I did on the lovely engagement session from the Fall of 2022.

While it’s not officially a Northern Kentucky Wedding venue, it’s a great spot to consider for photographs if you’re getting married in Northern Kentucky, but you’re not crazy about the photo location spots at your ceremony and reception. It’s right off the Ohio River, so it has beautiful views of Cincinnati. It’s a small park, but one with many, big beautiful trees and cobblestone that makes for gorgeous photos of bridal parties and couples.
I definitely recommend checking out this spot if you’re at a loss for photo locations in Northern Kentucky!
Check out my previous blog where the couple chose to have their photos at this park!
