Reception at Cincinnati Club

So, normally I talk about the day in order, but for this specific blog, I’d love to start in reverse and that’s with the reception! The reception at The Cincinnati Club was beautiful! There are so many perfect spots in this venue for photos. The dancefloor is beautiful and I love the color of the walls as well. I certainly recommend taking a look at this venue if you’re looking for a downtown Cincinnati spot!

The venue itself has a bit of history (first opened in 1923!) and from an architecture standpoint is fairly impressive and beautiful. I tend to think the word elegant when I step in! If you’re looking at planning a wedding that offers this type of vibe, I would definitely check this venue out!

Note, this venue also offers the ability to do ceremonies, however, this particular couple chose to do a ceremony at their church (more on that below!)

Ceremony at St Francis De Sales

This church in Cincinnati is absolutely breathtaking. I’ve attended weddings at this church as a photographer and as a guest and I’m in awe each time I step in. Additionally, after the ceremony, one thing I love to do is the “empty church shot.” It looks great with the bride and groom just present in their ceremony spot. And particularly for this location, it provided an absolutely beautiful backdrop.

The ceremony location was also not far from The Cincinnati Club and was easy commute down.

Photos at Eden Park

The couple chose to do a first look and finding a park in downtown Cincinnati was important to do that! We chose Eden Park as there’s a lot of nice light! The first look was set up, and then we went right into bridal party and family photos. It was great getting to accomplish all of these photos prior to heading into the couple’s ceremony and reception.

Overall, it was beautiful wedding day. The Cincinnati Club definitely made for a great choice in venue for this fall wedding. Directly out front of the Cincinnati Club is Piatt Park, which is another great area for photos. But, the venue inside itself offers a lot of great options.
