The Barn in Mariemont is a venue that hosts weddings, and that’s not all! It’s also the Women’s Art Club Cultural Center and you can choose to host any event there. It was built in 1924! The outside of the venue is a beautiful all-white and inside is fairly spacious for getting ready, caterers, and a reception area. The upstairs is where the ceremonies are held and gives off a rustic vibe for sure. The tall ceilings of the barn really make it for a unique space.
It was a beautiful summer day for this bride and groom! I really like the colors chosen for this day – a nice light blue and peach. It really gave off light and colorful vibes for a cheery summer wedding day. Once again, The Barn in Mariemont was a great spot for this wedding.
We started off focusing on details and getting ready (which is where I usually start with the timeline!) The area where the girls got ready had this really nice light blue wall – it really added a nice accent to the photos. We found a place to hang the bride’s dress and captured other smaller details.
Before the girls got into their dresses, we had them go outside for a champagne pop (basically get photos of pouring bubbly into those champagne glasses!) There is a big outside area at The Barn in Mariemont, so this worked out perfectly for this part of the wedding day. The funniest happened, though. The girls couldn’t get the champagne bottle open! We tried and tried and after many exhausting attempts, they finally got it! It definitely made for a funny moment.
The couple opted to not do a first look, so we focused on getting pictures of the bride and her bridesmaids and groom and his groomsmen before the ceremony. For an August day, the weather was quite nice! We stuck to the shade to capture on the side of the venue to take advantage of the beautiful filtered light through the trees.
It was now time for the ceremony. The ceremony for the wedding at The Barn in Mariemont is on the second floor. So, the wedding party goes up the stairs and the staircase is very pretty! There is also an elevator as well.
The bride walked down the aisle and it was a very sweet moment as they saw each other for the first time that day. They exchanged vows in front of their friends and family and just like that it was done! For bridal party portraits, we chose to go to downtown Mariemont, which is not far from The Barn. If you’re familiar with the area, there is a nice park that nice tall trees and a beautiful walking path.
We did a lot of fun and sweet photos here and then went on to the reception hall to finish out the day.
