Boone County Distilling is exactly what it sounds like – a distillery! Kentucky is a state that we all know is famous for its bourbon. Boone county distilling is a distillery in Northern Kentucky (and a great place to visit for us that live in Ohio!) The entire location us pretty neat and a unique wedding spot (also, if you visit, you have to try their bourbon cream!)
For this particular wedding, the couple’s ceremony was on their outdoor veranda and the reception was in the white hall ballroom. Obviously one of the perks of getting married here is their full onsite bar with their Boone County Distilling Spirits.
Another cool aspect of the venue is the ability to have access to the entire area. They’ll totally allow you to take photos in the barrel room which is so unique for photos! For this particular wedding, the couple chose to do photos at Florence Nature Park, but there are plenty of outdoor areas at this venue for photographs (as you’ll see in some of the photos below).

It was a beautiful fall day for this couple’s wedding. We began with getting ready photos. As I was working with another photographer that day, I went to photograph the guys (which I don’t always get to do when I’m leading my own weddings!) For the guys, we chose a quick location to capture a few photos of the groom and groomsmen, along with a couple of details. It was such a sunny day! Also look at their cute pup!
We then met at Florence Nature Center for their first look, family photos, bridal party photos, and some of their photos. We staged the first look at it was so super sweet. The groom burst into tears once he saw her. Just so so sweet!
After that beautiful moment, we went into taking family photos and photos with their bridal party. I love bridal party pictures – they are always so much fun! I usually photograph girls and guys separately and then the entire bridal party together (and remember, without a first look, most of that is done after the ceremony!)
After these photographs were finished we piled into our cars and headed to the distillery!
We arrived at Boone County Distilling Event Center – and what a beautiful evening the day was turning out to be! We started prepping for the ceremony and seeing all of the guests arrive. As mentioned, the ceremony was out on the veranda and the reception was in the ballroom. Check out their details! The couple had chosen navy and a rusty orange for their colors (such a very fall choice – love it!)
Here are the photos of the ceremony! The bride had both of her parents walk her down the aisle!
Here are the barrel room photos – my favorite!!!
And here were a few more photos as we moved toward starting their reception!
