About Summit Hotel Weddings

The Summit Hotel, located in Cincinnati, OH, is the perfect spot for a gorgeous and elegant wedding. I love photographing Summit Hotel weddings, as it’s a perfect, wide-open, elegant, and sophisticated venue. To elaborate further, I think many people have a vision in mind for when they picture hotel wedding. Maybe generic ballrooms, all indoors, and nothing incredibly unique? Summit Hotel weddings has none of those things! The hotel itself has many photo opportunities, from a rooftop, to an art gallery, unique elevators, and lovely hallways. There’s a reason I listed this in venue in my blog on top unique venues to get married in!

Their wedding venue can accommodate up to 250 guests (they have a large ballroom) and many other rooms in the hotel to consider. Another great thing about the Summit is their staff is incredibly kind and hardworking! I’ve always seen their weddings go off without a hitch! The below blog details a styled wedding shoot and I’ll walk through some incredible areas in the hotel for photographs. About this Styled Wedding Shoot

A styled wedding shoot (or styled event) is an opportunity for many wedding vendors to get together and collaborate on a staged wedding. This means we have creative control over the colors, theme, vibe, etc. in order to create some art. It also helps create inspiration for current and future brides and grooms!

This styled wedding shoot at the Summit Hotel occurred in February of 2023. The full vendor list for the event is at the bottom of the blog (some great vendors if you’re looking for some in the Cincinnati area!) It was a Valentine-inspired shoot and had lots of red and pink colors to it! In fact, I absolutely loved the color palette and thought the host of the event did an amazing job putting it together!

The day was split up into stations, so I’d love to walk you through each one and describe the area where the photos were taken. Hopefully this will help for any inspo you have for your wedding day at the Summit Hotel!

First, we started right in the lobby of the hotel. There’s a unique staircase with some interesting light bulbs that dangle from the ceiling. Complete with artwork on the wall, it was a fun spot to capture this bride and groom!

Next, we took the couple on the rooftop – one of my favorite places to photograph at the Summit Hotel! Look how fun their portraits are!

For our next couple, the Summit Hotel allowed us to do photos in the elevator! It was so fun capturing these moments.

Next, we went to the bar area in the Summit hotel – as you can see, so much window light! Then we went back out on the rooftop for some even more fun photos! The last two photos of the bride and groom walking were candid moments as we walked from one area of the hotel to the other.

Next, it was time to head to the art gallery and capture some great images of the details!

We had so much fun capturing these two in the art gallery! The furniture matched the space so well!

Next, it was back to our other couple, and they also came into the art gallery. They were also up for having some fun on the luggage rack. 🙂

For the finale of this shoot, we had a sports car out in the front parking area! It was so neat of the Summit hotel to allow us to capture these images!
