About Summit Hills Country Club

Summit Hills Country Club is in Northern Kentucky in Crestview Hills. It’s a full golf course and club and a wonderful spot for weddings. The indoor area, or ballroom, is beautiful for receptions (lots of white and it’s a bright open spot and full of windows!) The outdoor area is also perfect for photos. The drive leading in has full trees lined on either side and of course there are lots of open spaces along the golf course for pictures.

Summit Hills Country Club was very accommodating to the couple and their guests. They provided a lot of of golf carts for everyone to get around and had drinks ready for them right after photos! Everyone seemed to have a great time and day.

About the Wedding

The couple was so absolutely sweet and so were their families. They started with getting ready at the venue, then got married at a church not too far from Summit Hills Country Club. They opted for a first look, which I always think is such a great idea. It allows for more time for the two of you to be together! The reception was at Summit Hills Country Club as well and we took lots of photos there as well!

One of my favorite parts about this wedding was the theme. I love the 4th of July and they just did such a good job incorporating the red, white, and blue into their day.

I was the second photographer that day working with another amazing photographer in the Cincinnati area, and I started my day with the groomsmen as they got ready at the venue!

Getting Ready

As mentioned I started with the guys in the morning! I had them go outside on the balcony area to capture some moments between the groom and the bride’s dad and a few other candid photos of groomsmen. They were all having a great time with one another! Also, check out this neat groomsmen gift!

First Look and Pre-Ceremony

After everyone was ready, we staged the bride and her dad for a first look. It was so sweet! After that, we got the bride and groom set up for their first look. They stood back-to-back and read a letter to each other – I loved that they added this! Then they turned around and saw each other!

Before the ceremony, we took photos of the bride and groom, some of family, and some of the bridal party. Summit Hills Country Club provided such a great backdrop!

Ceremony

The ceremony was at their local church. It was a lovely exchange of vows as they stood in front of their families and friends. I loved all the natural light that came in through the windows as it allowed to capture more of their moments beautifully.

Post-Ceremony and Reception

We came back to Summit Hills Country Club and there waiting was some yummy drinks for the couple! We took a few more photos of them (the sun was starting to dip a little!) and then they went in for intros to their reception and then did their first dance. They also opted to do their cake cutting right away and had a 4th of July sparkler on top!
