A great spot to consider a northern Kentucky engagement session! From a Kentucky Wedding Photographer.

George Rogers Clark Park

This park nestled in Covington, Kentucky is a beautiful spot for an engagement session. I primarily service the Cincinnati and Dayton areas, but since Cincinnati is just right across the river, I am also a Kentucky Wedding Photographer! George Rogers Clark Park is right across the river from Ohio, with beautiful views of downtown Cincinnati.

As you all know, I’m a big fan of golden hour engagement sessions. I love to see the sun dip and produce this amazing golden light that shines over the couple. Golden hour is typically 1-2 hours before sunset, and you’ll see that I usually make the suggestion to have a session at that time.

Also, this park just looks and feels so different from season to season. This is probably the top photographed spot for me, and I’ve done summer, spring, and fall. In the fall, the colors just POP! I also love how the couple’s choice in clothes just radiates off the fall leaves. There are also plenty of different areas in the park – cobblestone alleys, park benches, and large beautiful trees. Definitely a great spot for photos!

These photos were taken in late October – it definitely seems we’ve had a bit of an early fall this year (it typically seems that fall peaks around November for this area – but not this year!)

The Couple

Emily and Jake came to me through a referral! I am great friends with the bride’s sister! I love referrals – they mean so much to me when someone takes the time to think of referring my business. Anyway, it was great getting to work with them. They are absolute cuties!! This was my first time meeting Jake – talk about a smile! They clearly love to laugh together and we enjoyed just having fun walking in the park.

As we tried different spots in the park, I gave them some poses and prompts and they brought their own fun ideas too. I always welcome things and ideas couples want to try for their photos – it makes it their own and something more representative of what might be more meaningful to them! However, no need to worry, if you’re not sure of what to do, I will absolutely come in prepared with lots of fun poses and prompts.
