Hocking Hills – An overview of why to have a wedding in hocking hills and a few hocking hills wedding venues to consider!

Intro

When trying to think about finding Hocking Hills wedding venues, I’ll start with saying Hocking Hills is one of my favorite areas in Ohio. If you haven’t been there yet – it is a must see in Ohio! It is a beautiful area with you guessed it – hills but also beautiful gorges, waterfalls, and extremely tall trees. It’s home to a couple of Ohio breweries and wineries and lots of areas to hike, walk around, and just enjoy time together. Hocking Hills rests just under Columbus, Ohio.

Now, I’m a Cincinnati & Dayton wedding photographer (that also provides coverage in Columbus Ohio and Lexington Kentucky) and with the proximity to Columbus, Hocking Hills is within my coverage area! I have not yet photographed a wedding in Hocking Hills but I’ve done some research so you don’t have to!

It’s not hard to understand why Hocking Hills Wedding Venues are becoming a popular search since this is one of the most popular areas in the state of Ohio. Many couples are now working toward envisioning their weddings as ourdoorsy, adventurous, fun, epic, and surrounded by nature. What better place than Hocking Hills?

Overview of Hocking Hills Wedding Venues

I was recently in Hocking Hills enjoying a fun day of hiking and it dawned on me that I could create a blog to help brides who are searching for information on Hocking Hills wedding venues. So here we are! This is by no means an inclusive list. I might even do a part two follow up for other venues to consider! There are photos below of most picturesque photo areas and a few of the venues.

1. Hocking Hills Wedding Chapel – beautiful area that comes with the option to rent out guest cabins! Note these are for smaller weddings.
2. Barn at Rush Creek – an outdoor venue ideal for larger ceremonies
3. Crockett’s Run – beautiful backdrop options and they can accommodate up to 150 guests!
4. The Haven at Cedar Grove – also beautiful outdoor options and can accommodate up to 200 guests
5. Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls – ideal for smaller weddings up to 40 guests
6. The Hangar – up to 300 guests and has a large vast area in you guessed it – a hangar

So as you can see – there’s a few options to consider (and probably more when you think about elopements!) There are also beautiful Air Bnbs that accommodate for great getting ready photos.
