About Cooper Creek Event Center

Cooper Creek Event Center is located in Blue Ash, OH (a suburb of Cincinnati). It’s right off a golf course and has a big event center perfect for weddings! I love photographing weddings at Cooper Creek Event Center – the staff is so helpful and kind, the space is big and open (there are a lot of windows that let natural light in) and the outdoor terrace is also perfect for photographs.

Another thing I love about Cooper Creek Event Center are the neutral tones of the building inside. These tones make for perfect photos, where the background and setting of the venue enhance any color palette and aesthetic rather than being a distraction (you’ll see what I mean in the photos below). I also enjoy just how much space there is at Cooper Creek Event Center. There is an upstairs loft with a big, beautiful window (and it’s also elevator accessible). This space is perfect for the getting ready part of the day.

About The Wedding

Lauren and Jake are one of the sweetest couples I’ve worked with. They planned a very elegant and elevated Christmas themed wedding at Cooper Creek Event Center in December of 2023. They chose their colors carefully and decided to focus more on green, brown, gold, and silver. No red at all! I loved that as when you think of most Christmas weddings, you think of red, so this was just a different approach and it just came out perfect!

The entire day was at Cooper Creek – which was nice that we were all in one spot. Cooper Creek uses the same space for ceremony as the reception and did flip the room very quickly. Read on below to see how this couple approached their wedding at this amazing venue.

First, we started with details photos! There’s so much space at this venue that I was able to spread out for this flat lay design. The florist was so kind enough to give me extra florals for this design!

Next, Lauren read a letter from Jake and she got her dress on. This was upstairs on the third level at Cooper Creek. As I mentioned, the window light is gorgeous!

Next, we went downstairs to photograph Jake and his groom details. They also did the NFL locker room walk in – it was such a cool idea to do!

After they were both ready to go, it was time for their first look. This was on the balcony and was just the perfect spot for them to see each other for the first time. Jake cried when he saw her!

Now that they were together, it was time for bridal party photos! It was chilly, but we embraced it and went down the stairs to the terrace by the golf course.

Then it was time for their individual portraits. Look at how perfect these Christmas bouquets were!

After we finished portraits with the bridal party, it was time to do portraits of Lauren and Jake! It was good that they did a first look because it was already starting to get dark outside (and it was only 3:30pm!)

Next, it was time for their ceremony! There ceremony was held in the main room (where the reception also is) but the walls were closed off to half the room. It was neat to see the space used in both ways.

Their ceremony was so sweet (more crying from Jake!) and afterwards we captured family photos and some photos outside – check out how neat Cooper Creek looks at Christmas!

Now it was time to capture all the fun reception details as those rooms were finished being set up.

And lastly, came dancing and cake! They did first dances with each other, their parents and then opened the dance floor. It was truly an amazing day. Check out the full vendor list below!
