Weddings at Cincinnati Art Museum

The Cincinnati Art Museum is perfect for weddings. They are one of the top indoor venues in Cincinnati (voted year over year). They have many different areas in the museum to consider for your wedding, and of course many different photo opportunities. The below blog will show you some of the top areas in the museum for photos!

I simply love going to the Cincinnati Art Museum, even separate from photographing a wedding. The outdoors of building is beautiful and inside is spectacular. But, when it comes to weddings at the Cincinnati Art Museum, I think it’s even more magical! If you have never been, I absolutely recommend. It is located in the very scenic Eden Park, very close to downtown Cincinnati. They have a very broad collection of art, many rooms to explore, and welcome different artists and exhibitions throughout the year. They are heavily involved in the community and a part of the fantastic history and story of Cincinnati’s presence as a contender of being an artful city, and that can compete with larger metropolitan areas such as New York, DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.

As far as weddings at the museum, it’s a popular spot for all the right reasons. I’m excited to take you through this styled event!

About This Styled Event

What is a styled event (or otherwise known as a styled shoot?) It’s an opportunity for photographers and other wedding vendors to get together and collaborate on editorial photo shoots. (In fact, check out this other styled photoshoot I collaborated on at the Peterloon Estate – another great Cincinnati area venue).

This photoshoot was staged in four different sections, so I’ll walk you through each part! I loved the differences among each shoot, and it just shows that the museum is for so many different types of events, couples, and their plans for their big day (or even engagement session!) I love venues that offer so many different opportunities for couples. Note, that because of the weather (it was a cold, rainy January day) that we were not able to photograph outside, but the museum is incredibly beautiful outdoors!

Part One – A Micro Wedding

This Cincinnati Art Museum wedding inspo was set to be a Micro Wedding setup. We had a lovely table set up right in the main hall (a popular area for real wedding days!) Check out the lovely florals and beautiful staircase in this section.

Part Two: A Bridal Session

This second setup was in the hall (attached the main hall) and this is where a lot of gorgeous natural light comes in! Look how beautiful this was (and I loved the florals too).

Part Three: A Museum Elopement

This part of the styled event was setup with a vision of an elopement at the museum – so this free wandering around all of the amazing artwork. No flash is allowed in this part of the museum, so the artwork is protected! I loved the sultry, romantic vibes of this couple!

Also, I have to add that I love the light blue walls here!

Part Four: An Engagement Session

And lastly, was a free-roaming engagement session. We had some fun as we walked around the museum, capturing their love. Some of the spots pictured here are very popular for Cincinnati Art Museum weddings!
