About Bel-Wood Country Club

Bel-Wood Country Club is located in Morrow, Ohio (just northeast of Cincinnati) and is situated on an 18-hole golf course. The grounds are lush and beautiful, the ceremony locations is nestled right on a pond with a fountain, and the reception hall is in a grand ballroom with a lot of beautiful windows. It’s also in a nice and quiet part of the Greater Cincinnati area and definitely has a feel of going out to the countryside!

My favorite part about this day was photographing the bride and groom among the gorgeous pine trees – it was such a magical moment and Bel-Wood Country Club.

About the Wedding Day

Ashley and Jake were lovely couple to work with! Another thing to mention about Bel-Wood Country Club is that the venue serves as a spot where you can do everything (getting ready, ceremony, and reception) so we spent the entire day there! Ashley’s bridesmaids wore a terracota-pumpkin orange color (perfect for this October wedding day) and the guys wore navy suits. The bride and groom had first looks with each other, Ashley did one with her dad, her bridesmaids, and she also did one with all of her grandparents! (It was such a sweet moment).

Pre-Ceremony

The first thing I typically capture are details! I loved Ashley’s details as they came together so well in this beautiful flat lay. Then we focused on capturing the getting ready moments with the bride and her mom. We got a bridesmaids first look, and as mentioned above, some other first looks that were lots of fun! We also captured bridal party photos too!

One of my favorite things about Bel-Wood Country were these beautiful windows. It just made for such amazing light for our details shots with the dress!

Ceremony Time

We were able to capture so many great photos before their ceremony at Bel-Wood Country Club. So then it came time for this beautiful moment! Ashley wore a long cathedral veil and it was super windy that day! But her maid-of-honor had her back. The ceremony was sweet and loving as they exchanged vows. I loved capturing Ashley’s excitement as they exited the aisle together!

After the ceremony we captured family photos right off the pond and these beautiful photos of Ashley and Jake (these are the tall pine trees close to the entrance of the reception hall).

Reception Time!

It was time to party! We headed back toward their ballroom and the setup was absolutely gorgeous. The couple had simple greenery with white and it just looked so sweet and romantic. They did a long head table with their bridal party up against the windows (I know I keep talking about them!).

They had their first dance, had enjoyed some cocktails, dinner, and cake and then partied and danced with their friends and family. It was truly a beautiful day at Bel-Wood Country Club!
