Brooke and Mark’s wedding day at Reverie in Dayton, Ohio was nothing short of picturesque from start to finish. Reverie’s thoughtfully designed spaces, like the light‑filled private chapel, the airy atrium overlooking the garden courtyard, and the versatile reception hall, which can comfortably seat up to 250 guests, provided both a meaningful backdrop and seamless flow for their celebration. At every turn, Reverie offered something special for both intimate moments and lively celebration, making Brooke and Mark’s Reverie wedding feel truly unforgettable.
The morning began slowly and intentionally at the Reverie in Dayton with Brooke getting ready surrounded by her closest friends. There was an easy joy in the room, laughter, excitement, and that quiet anticipation that makes the day feel real. Before she stepped into her dress, we captured flat lay detail photos that highlighted her wedding stationery, jewelry, and meaningful accessories. The florals mixed with their details made the delicate light blue tones of their wedding theme pop beautifully in every shot.
Brooke’s relationship with her mom and grandmother was truly so wonderful to witness. The love they have for each other is undeniable and was so sweet to see their interactions throughout the day. Brooke and Mark didn’t have a first look and although they didn’t see each other in the morning, they still made it really special leading up to the ceremony. One of those moments was where the groomsmen presented Brooke with her wedding gift. In return, the bridesmaids did the same thing for Mark. It was such a fun moment in the morning that really made each other laugh and have so much fun. One of the sweetest touches that Reverie did was they wrote Brooke’s name with her future last name on the getting ready suite to surprise her with in the morning. It was just another one of those special touches that couples will remember from their wedding day.
Once we wrapped up the flat lay and candid pajama photos, it was finally time for Brooke to step into her dress. Her satin gown featured a playful bow at the back, adding a unique and memorable detail that perfectly reflected her personality. Some of my favorite getting‑ready shots are always the small, quiet moments, slipping on jewelry, applying perfume, simple actions that feel so ordinary but photograph beautifully. These images captured Brooke’s effortless elegance and true beauty in a way that will always stand out to me.

Although Brooke and Mark chose to not have a first look, Brooke still did one with her dad. We did that first look outside in front of the hydrangeas that were in full bloom. The Reverie in Dayton has so many beautiful spots for photos, but nothing could top this location. Their first look was such a sweet moment as Brooke’s dad teared up and she gave him a frame with a photo of when Brooke was a toddler. There was a hand written note and a space to put their wedding photo underneath so her dad could always have a piece of her when she was younger and on her wedding day as well.

Now, it was ceremony time and I couldn’t wait for Brooke and Mark to finally see each other. Their day had been so fun and loving leading up to the ceremony that it’s always such a sweet moment when they finally get to see each other walking down the aisle. The chapel has the most gorgeous light spilling through the windows that made the photos so bright and beautiful for some of the special moments they had during their ceremony.

Once the ceremony had concluded, it was time to capture these two and their full bridal party. This is where we took full advantage of the hydrangeas that were in full bloom at the venue and their portraits speak for themselves to how incredibly beautiful it was. There was light filtering in from behind the dress that highlighted Brooke and Mark in front of the florals. We stayed in that same location for the full bridal part photos as well since it was just that good. The Reverie in Dayton hd some of the prettiest backdrops that I will always be dreaming of!

And finally, the reception portion of this beautiful wedding at Reverie, Dayton has begun. This reception was so incredibly fun from start to end. First, the groomsmen were introduced and came out running a football play with all of the guys. They were not shy in making sure their entrance topped the girls. Then, it was time for Brooke and Mark to be introduced as husband and wife! Once they were on the dance floor, their bridal party surrounded them with a big group hug before they took the stage for their first dance as a married couple. Brooke is a huge swiftie so naturally, their first dance was to Lover by Taylor Swift.

After their first dance, the evening continued with parent dances, a blessing, and heartfelt speeches. Brooke’s sisters, one of them her twin, spoke first, followed by Mark’s best man. One of the most meaningful moments came when Brooke dedicated her bouquet to her mom, honoring her for everything she has done. It was such a touching exchange and a beautiful reflection of how thoughtful and selfless Brooke is, especially when it comes to the people who matter most to her.
Following the speeches, dinner service began, and it was one of my favorite parts of the night. Brooke and Mark opted for pizza for their wedding dinner, and it couldn’t have been more fitting. It was fun, unexpected, and completely them, and their guests absolutely loved it. Moments like these are what make a wedding day feel personal and unforgettable.

Once dinner wrapped up, it was time to officially open the dance floor! From the very first song, Brooke and Mark had everyone on their feet celebrating right alongside them. The joy on Brooke’s face was impossible to miss and quickly spread to everyone in the room. When Dancing Queen came on, Brooke was completely surprised as her mom made an unforgettable entrance in a disco-inspired outfit, performing a choreographed dance just for Brooke and Mark. The room filled with laughter and cheers, and it was such a fun, unexpected moment that added even more personality to their reception.

We were so lucky to get the most perfect golden hour light so I had to sneak Brooke and Mark away for some golden hour portraits and these turned out so beautiful!

As the reception came to a close, guests lined up outside for Brooke and Mark’s send-off. Before stepping into the night, they shared one final private dance, just the two of them. It was a quiet, intimate moment where they could pause, breathe, and soak in the last moments of their wedding day together.

If a wedding day could be described as effortless joy, this was it. Brooke and Mark were an absolute dream to work with, and their day was overflowing with genuine happiness, stunning florals, and a reception that I don’t think I’ll ever stop thinking about. Brooke and Mark, thank you for trusting me to document such a meaningful day in your lives. And a huge thank you to Reverie in Dayton for being not only a beautiful space to photograph, but also such a wonderful venue to work alongside.
