Whimsical and Fun Dunkin Donuts Wedding

Check out this fun summer wedding where we did photos at a Dunkin Donuts in northern Kentucky! So fun incorporating the brand into the day.

About the Wedding

Dunkin Donuts – not necessarily the first place you may think to take wedding photos but I absolutely LOVE the idea from the couple and how well this incorporated into their day. I’ll start off first with a disclosure – if you’re planning a wedding and interested in doing something like this (whether it’s a Dunkin Donuts wedding or something else) ALWAYS contact the location ahead of time first. Some locations will be totally up for it and others may not be. Do not just show up planning to be able to take photos, particularly at a workplace or where customers are coming and going.

We were fortunate in this case this particular location is owned by the bride’s parents and so therefore they manage and oversee this Dunkin Donuts. The bride and groom wanted to incorporate into their wedding day for pictures as they figured it would be an incredibly fun thing to do. And they were correct!

I am seeing a growing trend of finding a brand that is loved by the couple and putting that into the wedding. It’s a great way to showcase something important to you or just to be different and have your day stand out. So, think of something you love and go for it!

In addition to the Dunkin Donuts location for wedding photos, we also stopped by George Rogers Clark Park for additional portraits before their ceremony.

Pre-Wedding

We met the bride at a relative’s house where they were getting ready. The guys had their photos taken at another location ahead of this. We took photographs of the girls getting ready (always a fun part of the day) and then went into prepping for some first looks! The bridesmaids, the bride’s fathers, and the groom all did first looks! We kept the first two inside (as it was a warm summer day!) but then did the first look with the bride and groom out on the front porch. It made for a set of really sweet and beautiful photos since the porch had lots of pink flowers (pink was the theme of the day!)

Their first look was really sweet. I always love the moment of a first look because it’s a bit more intimate and personal than seeing each other for the first time at the alter.

Dunkin Donuts Wedding

After their first look we all piled in our cars and headed for the Dunkin Donuts! When we arrived, we entered the location to let the employees know we had arrived. They were all so incredibly sweet (like I mentioned in the first paragraph, this was all planned and everyone knew to expect us). The bride and groom went inside and placed a drink order and then we got the bridal party in as well to take some fun photos. We also got the bride and groom through the drive through too!

Another favorite part of this was the dunkin donuts car for their wedding photos. I love the bright orange and pink colors that it added to their photos!

Once again, if this something you’re interested in, reach out to your local place! If they’re not up for it, that’s ok, just thank them and move on. If they are, then yay!

Additional Photos and Ceremony

After the Dunkin Donuts wedding photos we went on to George Rogers Clark Park. I’ve photographed a few times at this park and it’s a great spot for pictures. I’ve linked some additional blogs below for these weddings and sessions so check them out!

We captured photos of the bride and groom, bridal party, and some family at the park. This park is right on the border of Kentucky and Ohio and you can see the Cincinnati skyline from across the river. It’s very neat. Just a heads up, if you plan to use this park, it is a popular photographer destination for portraits and weddings!

We then left for their church for their ceremony (it was time to say I-Do!) The church had great light for their ceremony and it was a beautiful wedding. After their vows, we took additional photos of family and headed off to celebrate their reception! It was a fun day.
